IS IT TRUE THAT ULTRASOUND MACHINES DAMAGE ANILOX ROLLS?
Not at all. As opposed to many old-fashioned machines, Ditomsounds machines feature a patented Sweep system that allows high and low frequency wave regulation and a stable washing cycle. The greatest advantage of these machines is that they guarantee accurate cleaning of minute details and complex shapes with no risk for the rolls.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CLEAN A ROLL?
If the ultrasound machine is positioned close to a “ready to use” printing machine and the rolls are cleaned regularly after printing, it will only take a few minutes to have perfectly clean and ready to use rolls. The first washing cycles with an ultrasound machine might take a little longer because of dry remains and previous uneffective cleaning processes.

WHAT IS INVERSION OF AUTOMATIC ROLL ROTATION?
Thanks to the automatic roll rotation, the operator does not have to stand by the machine for the whole duration of the washing cycle, as the machine rotates the rolls automatically. Inversion of this automatic roll rotation is a standard funcion that even smaller Ditomsounds machines have and it is included in the price.

ARE ULTRASOUND MACHINES LOUD?
No, they aren’t. Ditomsound machines comply with the standards set by law in the matter of noise risk assessment. According to Legislative Decree 195/06, noise risk assessment is crucial for a company and it is an employer’s duty to prevent or reduce exposure to noises for workers as much as possible. Controlled noise emissions (EMCs) are at IEC level 60651 DEGREE 1.

WHAT IS THE STANDARD EQUIPMENT FOR THESE MACHINES?
Every machine includes a stainless steel washing tank with an engine for automatic roll rotation, Sweep system for wave regulation, a control panel with buttons to start the process, set the temperature and start the rotation, and a standard lid.

WHAT DO STANDARD MODELS INCLUDE?
In addition to the aforementioned basic features, “Standard” models can have one or more washing tanks according to customers’ requirements. Other optionals can be added, like the filtering system and HD option.

WHAT DO SUPERIOR MODELS INCLUDE?
In addition to basic features and a washing tank for one or more rolls, “Superior” models also feature one or more rinsing tanks and air/water spray gun. Filtration system and HD option can also be added as optionals.

WHAT IS ANILOX HD OPTION?
It is an optional function that allows to wash not only standard rolls but also high line screen ones safely and accurately. It is very useful for anilox rolls from 400 LCM on.

WHAT ARE THE ASSETS AND BENEFITS OF DITOMSOUNDS MACHINES?

THE COSTS ARE LOWER BECAUSE THE MACHINES ARE MADE IN CHINA?
Not at all. Ditomsounds machines and their components are made in Europe and comply with EEC EN 60204-1 regulations and international standards regarding electrical safety.

DO THESE MACHINES NEED A LOT OF MAINTENANCE?
Ditomsounds machines need no particular maintenance. The structure of the machine allows easy cleaning and the most worn out spare parts can be easily replaced by technicians in case of malfunctioning.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO ALSO WASH DOCTOR BLADES AND SMALL TANKS?
It is possible to also wash machine parts in ultrasound machines. All you have to do is ask for a “machine parts” form.
